If 1&2 = 3 and 2&3 = 7, which of the following could be equal to x&y for all values x and y?
A. x^2 + y
B. y^2 + x
C. x^3 + y
D. 2x^2 + y
E. x^2 – y
This question can easily be solved by substituting the two given conditions in options and verify which ones work.
Upon substituting the options, option A fits both conditions 1&2= 1^2+2 = 3 and 2&3 = 2^2+3 = 7 Hence it in my opinion is the right answer.
