(A) When x/3 is divided by 2, the remainder is 1.

i.) x∕3 ≡ 1 (mod 2)

therefore x ≡ 1 (mod 2)

INSUFFICIENT



(B) x is divisible by 5.

ii.) x ≡ 0 (mod 5)

INSUFFICIENT



(C)

x ≡ 1 (mod 2)
x ≡ 0 (mod 5)


thus

x ≡ 5 (mod 10)

INSUFFICIENT.


Answer is "E."
