If 3<x<6<y<10, then what is the greatest possible positive integer difference of x and y?
A. 3
B. 4
C. 5
D. 6
E. 7
3<x<6<y<10
x can be 3.00000000.... and above but not 3
y can be max. 9.999999..... and below 10 .
So, y-x can't be 10-3 = 7
It can attain max value of 6, for e.q if x= 3.000001, y = 9.000001 , x-y = 6
Answer D
