Instead of 50 let's take 4. Now sum of odd numbers greater than 0 and less than 4 = 1+3 =4. Sum of Even numbers greater than 0 and less than 4 = 2. Difference = 4-2 =2 = 4/2. Therefore same number for 50 should be 50/2 = 25.
