Problem Solving (PS) | Of the faculty members at a certain university, 4/9 are in the School

My approach was the following:
Total = A + B + E +N

4/9 = 44%
1/5 = 20%
1/6 = 17%
44%+ 20% + 17% = 81%
Hence 51 = 19/100 of Total
As answer choices are a bit spread, I approx. to 20% and get x = 255.
I know that as 19 is less than 20, the result will be higher. Answer choice A is the closest, and is higher than 255 so I pick it.

It worked for me even though it is not the best approach, I was running out of time.
