Problem Solving (PS) | A solution contains 8 parts of water for every 7 parts of

Final concentration of lemonade = 2/5
initial concentration of lemonade = 7/15
fraction removed = vi / vf = initial volume after removal / final volume after removal

2/5 = 7/15 * (vi / vf ) ^ 1
vi / vf = 6/7

So 6 parts of solution remained after removal from 7 parts.
So from 7 parts of solution , 1 part was removed
Hence , from 15 parts of solution , 15/7 = 2.14 part was removed. ( Since our initial volume of the solution is 15 , we need to find wr.t. 15 only ).

C is the answer.
