I think this is a high-quality question and I don't agree with the explanation. In the given solution the maximum value of y in first case is taken as 9 and minimum value of x is taken as -3, it is given as -3<x<5 and -7<y<9 and not -3</=x</=5 and -7</=y</=9. I want to say is not given as -3 is less or equal to x and x is less than or equal to 5. Its given as -3 is less than x and x is less than 5. Similar problem is with the solution provided for the 2nd statement
