Again order does matter. P(oddsum)=P(EEO)+P(EOE)+P(OEE)+P(OOO)=1/8+1/8+1/8+1/8=1/2.

Excuse me, but I didn't understand why order does matter? At the end we are looking for the sum of the selectedballs and not for the order of theselection , so whether it is 2+2+1 or 1+2+2 or 2+2+1 they are all the same! They all equal 4 which is one possibleoutcome and not3

Consider below two scenarios:
First=Even, Second=Even, Third=Odd;
First=Even, Second=Odd, Third=Even;

Are these scenarios the same? No. That's why the ordermatters.

Yes, these 2 scenarios are same here, bcoz both will give an odd sum. So order does not matter here. Isn't it ??
