General GMAT Questions and Strategies | Official GMAT Practice Question Bank: Inadequate Explanation

Hello GMAT community,

I recently purchased the official GMAT practice question bank with over 1,000 questions, but I am disappointed with its quality and design. The answer explanations provided are often insufficient and lack practical application in real-life testing scenarios. Instead, I find myself resorting to searching for better explanations from GMAT Club members online. Furthermore, the timer continues to run during answer explanations in 'Study mode', which seems like a poor design choice. Additionally, the lack of topic selection is a minor drawback. Has anyone else encountered similar issues with the official GMAT question bank, or am I missing something?
