For CR and RC, you can first work your way from the first choice to the last. On that first pass, don't eliminate any choices unless they are very obviously incorrect.
Then, go through the choices from top to bottom again, and carefully eliminate the most clearly incorrect ones.

For SC, you also start off working from the first to the last, but once you find an error in an area of a version, it makes sense to scan the other versions for an error in the same area.
