10 litre of mixture with 3:2 ratio of petrol and kerosene Means 6 lit petrol and 4 lit kerosene

Since 2 liters of mixture is replaced by 2 liters of kerosene, the total mixture is always 10 liters.

The amount of petrol decreases by the amount of petrol in 2 liters of mixture after each iteration and never increases

After the 1st step, 2 * (6/10) = 1.2 liters of petrol is removed and thus, there are 6 - 1.2 = 4.8 liters of petrol remaining in the mixture.

After the 2nd step, 2 * (4.8/10) = 0.96
