GMAT Problem Solving (PS) | Re: What is the remainder when 3^24 is divided by 5?

Answer is B : 1

We can either use the Mod formula or since the question can be simplified, let's do that.

\(3 ^{24}\) can be simplified to \(9^{12}\) and then to \(81 ^ {6}\). So if the last digit is 1 , then remainder of division by 5 will always be 1.
