The height of the wall should remain the same but it is out of the focus in this question.
The question is concentrated only on length, which is the variable.
Should the answer not be E? We are not given the height/width of the wall, and without that information it is impossible to comment upon the length. For eg. time taken to paint a wall of length 'L' and height 10m vs time taken to paint a wall of same length but height100m.
