Why cannot we use division? Why should we subtract?

A. (1) (x^2+1)x > (x^2+1) divide by (x^2+1) on both sides

(x2+1)x > (x2+1)
_______ _______
(x2 + 1) (X2+1)

X > 1 Sufficient

(2) x2>x if x2 is 4

4 / 2 > 1 so 2 > 1

or 4 /-2 < 1 so -2 < 1 Insufficient

So the answer is {A}

Can this be a solution
