A---> 17 is a prime number...so to distribute equal number of jerseys, we need to find a number which divides x and x+17 equally. The only number (i was able to think of was x=17 itself) but then we cant distribute 17(already exiting clothes as per the number assumed) clothes to any number of players less than 16. So considering x+17 is divisible by some number between 2-16, there is no way x could be divisible by any number between 2 and 16. Answer is no. A is suffecient.
