Great job with the 690! Regarding your retake, I think a good move would be to focus on both quant and verbal to maximize your score increase. Regarding how to improve in those areas, a good plan of attack would be to go through GMAT quant and verbal carefully to find your exact weaknesses, fill gaps in your knowledge, and strengthen your skills.
