Solution

To find:
    •Whether S < T

Analysing Statement 1
As per the information given in statement 1,\(R = \frac{T}{2}\)

•We don’t have any relevant information about S.

Hence, statement 1 is not sufficient.

Analysing Statement 2 As per the information given in statement 2,\(S = \frac{R}{2}\)

•We don’t have any relevant information about T.

Hence, statement 2 is not sufficient.

Combining Both Statements We know\(R = \frac{T}{2}\) and\(S = \frac{R}{2}\) .
Hence, we can say\( S =\frac{T}{4} \)
